Deacon

Dog for Adoption

 Breed Size Sex Age

We would like to introduce our special lurcher, Deacon- a fun, intelligent and sociable boy of about 18months of age.

Deacon was picked up stray with an untreated pelvic injury but has had surgery and is recovering well in foster with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy which he enjoys. He is an adaptable, confident chap who is good with other dogs and crate trained. He can continue his exercise regime of both controlled walks and some off lead exercise, in his forever home and is expected to make an excellent recovery. Guidance and support will be available from his fosterer who is an experienced veterinary nurse.

He would love to be part of a busy stimulating home and can live with children but not cats. If you can offer Deacon what he needs and deserves, please contact us. The person who commits to him will soon find that he will reward their faith in him, many times over.

Erin Hounds is a registered charity which rescues greyhounds and lurchers, re-homing abandoned and neglected sighthounds from Ireland.
