Mia was one of three Chihuahuas who came to Freshfields as their owner was struggling to care for them properly. The other two Chihuahuas have now found fantastic homes but Mia is still waiting!
Mia was the most feisty one out of the bunch and takes a little longer to warm to new people but once she does she is a little sweetheart. She loves attention and cuddles, she simply has to be on your knee or near you.
At first she did try to protect the other two from people and would guard them, for this reason we felt she would be happier and less stressed in a home without other dogs. However we now feel she could live with other dogs but it would depend on their temperament. She is currently in foster with cats and does not seem bothered by them.
She will need an adult only home with someone around for most/all of the day.
Mia will need an adult only home without visiting children, she would be ideal for a retired person/couple who want a little lap dog.
She is not used to being walked so will need a gentle and patient owner who can take time introducing her to the big wide world.
Mia needs a dental but is otherwise in good health, although she does make a lot of snorting noises! She will make a delightful little companion.
