Nelly

Dog for Adoption

Handsome Nelly is looking for a new home as his owner is heavily pregnant and is struggling to give him the exercise and attention he needs.
Nelly is only a young dog with bags of enthusiasm. He can be wary initially and will lunge and bark at strangers and although this looks intimidating he has never followed this through with any aggressive behaviour. Once a person has gave him a fuss he soon settles down.
Nelly has lived with children in the past and could live with older, sensible children in his new home. He is also is good with other dogs and his owner feels he could live with a compatible dog. He has never been around cats.
In the home Nelly is a bright and obedient dog who will sit, stay and give his paw. He is housetrained, non destructive and is happy to be left alone for a few hours. He also travels well in the car.
Nelly will need a strong, confident owner who will be willing to put in the work to help curb his barking and lunging behaviour before it becomes a problem. Our behaviourist will be on board to help with this.
Please note that Nelly is not being walked at the moment so his behaviour will be escalated as a result of this. Anyone coming to meet Nelly must be prepared for his initial reaction to them but be willing to see past it as he truly is a beautiful dog who will make a fantastic companion.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NELLY IS NOT CURRENTLY ON SITE AT FRESHFIELDS. PLEASE CALL 0151 931 1604 IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET HIM.
