|Staffie Cross||Medium||Female||5 years|
In a home environment, Bella will happily have cuddles all evening. She’s house trained and has good house manners. She can sometimes be wary of strangers on walks, so we would like her adopter to continue her training and help her feel relaxed around new people. Bella has plenty of energy and sometimes loves to run and zoom around… she may even use your legs to stop against, so watch out! Bella walks nicely on the lead and she’s a very good girl around food and toys.
Bella is known to have lived with children in the past but we are looking for a home without young children as she needs a quieter life now.
Bella was taken to our fun Dog Show by one of our youngest volunteers, this is what she said…
” I am 14 years old and I am currently a volunteer walker at Homeless Hounds as I work towards my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award. Today I took Bella to the Homeless Hounds fun dog show. Bella travelled wonderfully in the car during the hour long journey and the day before she behaved very well whilst she had her bath. When we arrived there was a lot of dogs there and Bella was brilliant. I entered her in two classes, dog over 16″ and Best Rescue. She didn’t place in either but she was on her best behaviour and in doing so attracted lots of admirers that complimented her on her miraculous progress in just a number of weeks. She also participated in the treat catching competition as she loves her food, Bella placed 5th and she most certainly enjoyed it. Bella socialised with many dogs and she even reunited with a few previous Homeless Hounds buddies. At the end of the day she again travelled very well on the way home and she went straight to bed when she got back to her kennel, as she had had a very fun but exhausting day out! ”
To adopt Bella please complete our online adoption application form and we will be in touch. We welcome applications from the North West but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield.
