Rupert

Dog for Adoption

 Breed Size Sex Age

Hello everyone, I am a handsome exracing greyhound who goes by the name Rupert! It’s the perfect name for me because Rupert means bright and shining, which is a spot on description of my personality! As you can see from my photo I have the most incredible pointy ears which wow everyone who sees them!

I am a friendly and confident fellow who is always happy about life. I enjoy pretty much everything, whether it be playing with my canine friends, going on walks, having a cuddle or putting my paws up for some chill out time! I love meeting new people and I’m not afraid to go up to a stranger to ask for a fuss. The group friday walk is always a highlight for me as I enjoy socialising with everyone and exploring the new sights in the forest! I walk pretty well on lead, only pulling when I get excited, but that can’t helped, can it? And I have behaved very well with all the dogs I have met since arriving.

As I have spent most of my life in racing kennels I am very intrigued to get out and see more of this fabulous world. Everything is completely fascinating to me but I’m ready to discover it all with some human friends of my own.

I will get on well in most home environments, it doesn’t matter if your household is calm and quiet or loud and busy, I know I’ll be happy. I will be able to go to a home with or without another dog, or to a house with children. So what are you waiting for? Come and meet me soon so we can start our life together!

Celia Cross Greyhound Trust rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes around 150 abandoned, sick or ill-treated Greyhounds and Lurchers each year at their Sun Valley Kennels based in Guildford, Surrey.
