|Shepherd cross||Large||Male||2-3 years|
Bernie is a sweet and beautiful boy who has been unlucky in life and waited a long time for a forever home of his own. He would love a quiet, preferably more rural, home, as he is sensitive and vigilant to noises and, being a shepherd, can be vocal. He would appreciate a peaceful adult routine with no children or teenagers and not too much time on his own. Ideally he would like another dog as a companion, he loves to play with another female dog at the kennels where he is currently staying. He can bark at visitors but quickly learns to trust people and is wishing for someone to love him forever. Like many rescue dogs, he quickly attaches to people and forms strong bonds.
He is a very loving and handsome chap who just wants someone to love and understand him and give him the patience, training and loyalty he deserves. He will grow in confidence and security once he is fully settled in a home, he is currently staying in kennels and misses home comforts. Bernie is fully house-trained and lead-trained and is a bright boy so will benefit greatly from further training. Bernie is currently in kennels in Maidstone, Kent. Please get in touch if you think you may be able to give him the forever or foster home he has been waiting for.
Bernie is a work in progress as he can be (not always) lead-reactive and therefore quite vocal on walks. We will offer behavioural support to help him overcome his remaining issues.
Give a Dog a Home UK is a non-profit rescue mainly rehoming dogs that come over from Greece, Cyprus and Romania. They mainly rehome to the South East but also much further afield.
