Ellie is a real sweetheart who has had a bad start in life. She came to us via the dog warden so we do not know her full history.

It was clear that she had very recently had puppies and was also suffering from an infection which she is being treated for.

Despite it all, she is a fun loving little dog with plenty of energy. She can be timid of strangers initially, but once she knows you, she loves a fuss and is particularly fond of a belly rub. Ellie isn’t overly keen on other dogs, but she is improving with her socialising sessions here.

Although she would not be able to live with another dog, with some continued training in the home she would be able to go out socialising around other dogs.

Ellie is looking for a home where she can get all the love and cuddles she deserves.

We believe Ellie to still be a youngster, so she would benefit from attending training and socialisation classes to help new owners understand her, and for her to build up her trust with them too.

Ellie would like to be the only pet in the home.

Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary has provided and continues to provide hundreds of abandoned animals with a second chance. At any one time the Sanctuary can be looking after several hundred animals. At present on site they have over 60 dogs, 90 cats and kittens plus a number of rabbits and guinea pigs.
