Bentley needs a supportive family to offer time and tolerance to allow their new dog to settle. Bentley needs to be retained on an extender always outside the house with tight front door/ back gate security. Bentley could live with another dog but not cats or small furries. NB Our Rescue asks owners to maintain dogs on lead in public spaces and manage encounters, as dog law changes place dog’s lives at greater risk.

Known background: Bentley’s owner moved in with her son’s, with Bentley, his Pattie dad and a lurcher. Bentley mixed well with dogs but took against a local dog and bite thru his lead 2x and scrapped with him, Bentley came off worse. Neighbours on the estate took against and were threatening the family so Bentley was put in a shed on an allotment as the family tried to find him an alternative life via Facebook. We stepped forwards to offer a Rescue place. Bentley is now neutered, chipped and fully vax’d. Bentley is kennelled in Godstone.

Rescue Remedies are a volunteer-run internet-based charity mainly covering the South-East of England. They rehome across the UK. Rescue Remedies help all breeds of dogs but are specialists in Terriers, Patterdales, Staffies and American Bulldogs. All dogs are neutered (except puppies) vax’d & chipped. They normally have around 140 dogs for rehoming.
