Dog for Adoption

 Breed Size Sex Age

Hello, peeps, I’m a staffy x (probably with a lab) lady with a lovely pale brown coat and great big brown eyes. I’m quite a big girl, but perfectly proportioned!

I may be 12, but I still have plenty of energy and love my walks, although I’m told I pull a little on my lead at first, but I do calm down quickly and then I walk really nicely for you.  I would be even better if I had lots more walks – there just aren’t enough of them in kennels, you know, and I get so excited when my carers take me out!

I lived with a male dog for most of my life, and we got on reasonably well, but I’m a bossy lady and I certainly won’t share my food and I used to try to get his as well. I might manage to live with a boy dog again, but only if he didn’t mind me being the boss and taking all the treats.

I’m not a great cat lover so best keep me away from them. I haven’t been around children much, either, but I’m quite laid back so I think I would be fine with slightly older children, who knew how to treat a lady like me.

I had some pups once… I don’t know what became of them as they were taken away… but now I’m not able to have any more, thank goodness, I’m too old for all that hard work.

I like going in your car, once I realise I’m going on a journey, I settle down for a nice nap.

Treats……hmmm, oh yes please!!

I’ve just spent a couple of days in one of our volunteers home, and he said I was a really good girl, enjoyed nosing all round the house and garden, but I was very calm, slept all night by the side of his bed, enjoyed having visitors, and was happy to be left for a couple of hours. We went to a busy shopping centre where I just wanted to say hello to everyone, but I hid behind his legs when a little dog started yapping at me!

Would you like me in your life, for countryside walks and snuggles on the sofa??
