Dante

Dog for Adoption

 Breed Size Sex Age

Woof! My name is Dante and I’m a really sweet one year old collie cross! I arrived at the rescue as a stray with two other dogs, but sadly I had a spinal injury so have had to wait a while for a new home while I have been resting and recovering. I’ve been looked after very well and am now looking for a new home! Could it be you?

Dante is a really friendly boy that treats everyone and every dog that he meets like they’re a long lost friend! He came into the rescue as a stray and sadly his owner never came to claim him so he is now looking for a new home. He’s great with other dogs and since he came in with two other dogs, he could be homed with a compatible friend, preferably one that is a bit older/calmer as although Dante loves to play, he is recovering from a spinal injury so playing too rough could potentially be painful for him. He has recovered really well from his injury and is almost walking completely normal now but does have a slight limp if he has been walking/running for a long time, so a home with someone that is willing to let him set the pace would be ideal. We feel that he would be able to be rehomed with sensible children 5+ as long as they understood that he will need some quiet time too. He’s a really sweet lad that adores cuddles! We really hope that people won’t be put off by his injury as he really does have a lot of potential and love to give!

We would be open to a long term foster home for him too as we understand that it may be quite a lot for someone to take on. If you are interested in adopting or fostering Dante please either pop in and meet him and find out some more about him, or ring us on 01745 560546.
