Dog for Adoption

 Breed Size Sex Age

Hi, my name is Clay. I am a large Labrador x.

I was bought into the Sanctuary after being abandoned by my previous owner, and was found by a member of public. I am only just over a year old, so still have lots of puppy like behaviours. I am VERY big and VERY strong, so will need an experienced owner who will be able to control me. I would really benefit from training classes to help improve my behaviour and give me something to focus on. My carers have been doing lots of work with me here at the Sanctuary, and I will now walk nicely on my halti (though I get a bit excitable when I see a dog!).

I could not live with another dog, and do need a lot more socialisation with dogs as I do not have many manners around them. I could not live with cats or small animals. I could live with older, teenage children, but they would need to be used to big, bouncy dogs. I love playing with my toys and sitting on your lap for cuddles, and I am very well behaved when I concentrate. I will sit and wait, but my new owners will have to be quite firm with me as I am such a big boy. I am getting very stressed here at the kennels, so my carers think that I would easily improve once in a home.

I am looking for a pet free home, with people that are willing to continue with my training. A nice big garden to run around and play in would be a bonus too! If you think you could offer me the loving, forever home I deserve, then please come and see me.
