Nellie arrived at Moorview early December 2017 along with her 4-week old puppy Noah (now adopted). The pair were found straying together, and were picked up by the pound and due to be put to sleep before Moorview offered rescue space.

Nellie is only a baby herself at around 18 months old. We are looking for a very special home for this lovely young lady who has been through a lot. It’s unclear as to what NEllie’s history is, but we’re assuming not the best. She was rather on the thin side and her skin was in terrible condition, however she has made a significant improvement here and gets better day by day.

Nellie was fortunate enough to spend a few weeks in foster care so we were able to find out some more information about what she is like as a pet.

Nellie is very sociable and dog friendly. She has even been fundraising with us at Pets at Home in Harrogate, where she stood at the door and greeted customers and their dogs, and even managed to raise some pounds for the dogs back at the rescue!

Nellie is good on and off the lead, has nice manners and great in the home. We can’t fault her! Nellie is an American Bulldog and someone with large breed experience would be preferable.
