Meet Micky! He’s a very affectionate 9 year old Jack Russell Terrier cross who came into the Oldies Club rescue because his owner became too poorly to look after him. He’s now in an Oldies Club foster home in Redhill, Surrey, waiting for his new best friend to find him.
Wants company most of the time: Micky would be the perfect companion for an active retired person or couple. He does get anxious when on his own and really wants an owner he can be near almost constantly, in case you need his help with anything ?
Sometimes OK with other dogs: Micky might be happiest as an only dog or perhaps living with a calm female, which he has done in the past. Meeting other dogs when he’s on a short lead sets off Micky’s alarm bells and he can be quite standoff-ish. Off lead, when he knows he can escape, he’s usually friendly but it’s best if he wears a muzzle and then everyone can relax.
Chases cats: Micky has read the manual on how to be a terrier!
Adult only home: An adult only home would suit Micky best as he doesn’t like rowdiness, but quiet teenagers who respect his delicate feelings might be OK for him.
