Penny

Rehomed

Penny is an 11 year old Labrador cross that came into our care after we received a telephone call from a worried neighbour. Penny is currently in a foster home in South Wales where she has settled in really well and has been receiving all the TLC she so well deserves.

Penny was a very poorly lady when she came into our care, she was in a dreadful condition. Penny had a skin condition, a bad cough, and overgrown claws and was very underweight. Penny quickly moved to a wonderful foster home who has been working hard to nurse her back to health. It has been very touch and go due to a very serious lung infection and we very nearly lost her at one point. But Penny was determined to fight and over the last couple of weeks has responded well to treatment.

Penny’s foster family says “Penny does not ask for much, she likes a few short walks, regular scrummy meals, and lots of treats and plenty of human company as she is a devoted companion”

Penny is making fantastic progress as you can see from the photographs and she will be soon be ready to be adopted.

Whenever dogs comes into our care they spend a minimum of 2 weeks before they are adopted. This is because the majority of our dogs come from Local Authority pounds and with little or no previous history. This initial assessment period allows us to assess temperament, personality and the best match for a new home. We do not work on a first come first served basis but always strive to find the ideal home for each dog.
