Reilly was originally found as a stray. From his physical condition it seemed he was a farm collie, but he had no collar, or tag and no microchip so his former owner was not located. He was then taken in by a very experienced fosterer to prepare him for rehoming by DBARC. He is now very confident, highly intelligent, handsome, lovable, playful CHAP ,A great car traveller, good with dogs ( has been living in a foster home for past 2 months with other dogs) , walks very well on lead, now house trained – the superlatives for this fellow go on and on . Reilly would benefit from living in a home with an active owner, or an active outdoor type of family with older children, so over 12 years. Ideally someone who might encourage Reilly to enjoy a dog sport such as flyball as he will race after a ball, retrieve and return to you… though sometimes not all the way back to you !! He loves playing fetch the ball. Okay, not every fellow is perfect, in true collie mode, Reilly is a collector of things, he is not destructive, but likes to empty laundry baskets, scatter loo rolls from bathrooms, gather cushions off sofas and put them in his bed . He is funny, very obedient, exceptionally affectionate with a gentle mouth. He will need a home where someone is around most of the day, he will travel in happily in your car and is the perfect back seat passenger. Ideally we would like to place him with someone with former collie experience. Naturally his beautiful coat will need ongoing brushing and care, and he will need an interesting and active lifestyle
